About the Journal

Bulletin of the Institute of Legislation and Legal Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a peer-reviewed open access legal journal published since 2006.

The main objective of the journal is the development of Kazakhstani legal science, including issues of law-making, as well as legal support of foreign policy and foreign economic activities of the state, taking into account the protection of its national interests in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. The Institute systematically publishes the main results of its fundamental and applied research.

The journal is published 4 times a year, the average number of articles per issue is 30. Articles are published in Kazakh, Russian and English languages.

The journal is available on academic information resources - in the electronic library ‘Cyberleninka’, specialised information system RSCI  E-library.ru, in the National Electronic Library of Kazakhstan (KAZNEB). The publication is indexed in the international database Crossref.

By order of the Chairman of the Committee for Quality Assurance in Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (№ 38 from 14.02.2022) the journal is included in the List of editions recommended for publishing the results of scientific activity from September 2021.

The main thematic focus - publication of scientific materials contributing to the strengthening of the role of legal science in improving the effectiveness of legislative activity.

The journal contains academic articles and reviews on the results of research of theoretical and practical importance in various fields of legal science, national and international legislation. Materials of academic and practical conferences, round tables held by the Institute are published as well. The journal highlights current problems in the field of jurisprudence. The journal is intended for distribution throughout Kazakhstan, CIS countries and far abroad. Articles are published in Kazakh, Russian and English. The editorial board ensures the geographical diversity of authors with a high citation index and publication of works in English.

In accordance with the requirements of the CS of the MSHE RK, the presence of scientists with publications in the international databases Web of Science or Scopus is required for journals of the socio-humanitarian direction. These include the following:
