In this article features of educational process in departmental high schools of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan are considered. Since the rules of law, normative acts, law enforcement decisions and other legal phenomena can be regarded as a kind of theoretical and practical projections of culture, for the designation of which science needs a special concept. Such a concept, reflecting a particular dimension of legal reality, in jurisprudence is the category of sense of justice a set of ideas and feelings that express the attitude of people, social communities to the acting or desired right. Legal consciousness is a specific way of spiritual knowledge of reality in the form of legal knowledge, ideas, ideas and evaluative attitudes to the law and practice of its implementation, legal attitudes and value orientations that regulate people's behavior in legally significant circumstances. In the process of training and education of cadets, a number of problems arise which, in the light of the modernization of public consciousness, must be solved by the teaching staff. Thus, the higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have a difficult task to educate future policemen with highly cultured citizens of their country with a high level of legal awareness. Analyzing the causes and conditions for the emergence of this kind of complexities, the authors propose a number of practical measures that are used not only in classrooms but also outside of school time, which form a high sense of justice for students. The method of conducting on-the-spot practical classes in various state bodies and civil society institutes for training in state-legal disciplines has been developed that facilitates the consolidation of the acquired knowledge and broadens the outlook of the students. It is suggested to involve members of public associations in conducting practical classes, which will positively affect the further professional activity of the graduate of the university.
