SOME PROBLEMS OF LEGAL REGULATION OF MASS MEDIA (Based on the analytical reference to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Mass Media")

Abstract

This article is based on the monitoring results for the Law of RK "On Mass Media". In the presented article some provisions received on the basis of the results of legal monitoring are being discussed.

The most pressing issues are the securing of the rights and duties of the journalist, the creation and operation of the Fund for the media.

The author notes the need to consolidate civil and political guarantees of the journalist's activity.

Analysis of the situation in the media sphere, and the study of foreign experience allowed to determine the trends in the development of the media in modern conditions.

Thus, we suppose that, first of all, we should focus on the information needs of the audience, and not on the ideological guidelines of the state. This will ensure the creation of conditions for the transition to an information society.

During the monitoring, the author identified some gaps and made proposals for their elimination.
