TERMINOLOGICAL CLARIFICATION OF THE TEXTS OF INTERNATIONAL TREATIES

The international treaty is the legal basis for ensuring and realization of international cooperation of the state.
The authors believe that the incorrect translation of draft international treaties, misuse of words, phrases and terms leads to a violation of the content and complexity of the application of the legal norm in practice.
Noting the importance of observance of legislative acts and requirements for the drafting of international treaties, the authors draw attention to the methodological significance of the academic and linguistic expertise of draft international treaties on the authenticity of texts in the Kazakh and Russian languages.
Presenting the analysis of the activities of the Center for Linguistics in the structure of legislation that conducts academic and linguistic expertise of draft normative legal acts and international treaties, the authors identify problems associated with the improvement of the quality of draft international treaties, with academic and methodological support in drafting international treaties, the organization of coordinated mechanisms that improve professional skills of the staff.
Considering the importance of the issue requiring a solution with support at the certain level, the authors argue that this issue should be given special attention in connection with the forthcoming transition to the Latin alphabet.
