DEVELOPMENT OF THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR IN THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN AS A CONDITION FOR ENSURING FOOD AND FOOD SECURITY

Abstract

The article deals with the legal problem of the development of the agricultural sector, which provides the country with food and food security. Food security is a global issue of priority and international importance. The problem of ensuring food security for modern society is one of the most important. Because firstly, the provision of food to the population is, in the physical sense, the provision of its vital activity; Secondly, food security is one of the directions of national security, which determines the economic stability and political independence of the state, its ability to provide for the primary needs of its citizens without prejudice to national and state interests.

Ensuring food security is one of the main tasks of our state.

The author of the article points out the importance of the agricultural sector, gives various definitions of the term "food security" from international documents and legal acts, tries to reveal the essence of the terms "food security" and "food security", examines the issues of the relationship between food and food security, defines their legal foundations. At the same time, the author defines food safety as one of the components of food security, which is the main factor and determines the health and livelihoods of people. At the same time, the author analyzes the opinions of scientists on ensuring food security and suggests applying international practice. The purpose of the study is to study the importance of the agricultural sector, which ensures the food and food security of the country. The author proposes to adopt the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Food Security" and the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On personal subsidiary farming", which would solve problems in agriculture, strengthen subsidies to the agro-industrial complex and modernize agricultural machinery, as well as adopt the best practices of foreign countries.
