The article is devoted to the regulatory sandbox as an institution that allows providing a dynamic, evidence-based regulatory environment for testing new technologies. Regulatory sandboxes are one of the latest popular trend trends that many countries use to attract investment in the introduction of domestic IT solutions, and will also entail other positive effects. Usually under the regulatory sandbox (Eng. regulatory sandbox) is understood as a special experimental legal regime established by the regulator, which allows innovators to test innovations and new technologies in the tested environment under the guidance of the regulator [1]. This mode allows you to bypass administrative barriers, bureaucratic installations, «strong» regulation, high economic costs, as well as security issues of tested IT solutions and innovations. The result of participation in the regulatory sandbox is the temporary introduction of special exemptions and temporary non-proliferation of current legislation on certain innovative projects for testing information and communication technologies, innovations, other advanced technologies and scientific and technical developments. Thus, the regulatory sandbox is a platform that creates filtering and testing of potential market participants producing new, cost-effective IT solutions, innovative technologies and artificial intelligence objects. The regulatory sandbox, like any other institution, has both strengths and weaknesses of its manifestation. In the article, the author will try to show what possible risks business entities may face when introducing new technologies, and also suggest the main ways to improve the regulatory sandbox in the Republic of Kazakhstan. In addition, the author focuses on the advantages of the regulatory sandbox, turn to international experience and assess the current Kazakh legislation regarding the regulation of the regulatory sandbox.
