The article was prepared within the framework of the grant project of the Ministry of Science and higher education of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. AP14872548 "modern environmental law and order: Kazakhstan case". The presented article examines the legal issues of international information cooperation in the field of Environmental Protection, in which the procedures for the exchange of Environmental Information occupy a separate place. Access to information at the level of many states requires determining priorities, forms and methods of information cooperation at the interstate level. Our country is obliged to fulfill international obligations in the field of ensuring public access to environmental information, and in the age of information technology, it is necessary to keep up with the Times and solve the problems of timely, complete and objective presentation of Environmental Information with digital management capabilities. As practice shows, there are international agreements on the exchange of information between interested states. 1998 began International Cooperation in the field of environmental information exchange between the CIS countries, as a result of which the creation of an Interstate environmental and Information System was envisaged, which was never created. Discussion of the implementation and implementation of information cooperation on environmental protection issues at the world level took place in Astana in 2011, which gave impetus to the fact that in 2016 it was decided to create a common system of Environmental Information. This system allows you to evaluate the results of environmental activities of states, determine their needs for resources for constant monitoring and assessment of the environment. This is a set of principles implemented in the form of a distributed system of Environmental Information, the connection and integration of which with other systems is carried out with the help of modern technologies.
