The article is devoted to the influence of socialization of persons released from prison by the probation service. The problem of increasing crime and bringing society to criminal responsibility has worried the world since the appearance of humanity. Traditionally, the problem of the defendant, his life in society before and after serving his sentence, is an acute problem. Few people liked the disdainful attitude to the problems of people who have long been deprived of liberty and convicted, but at present we believe that there are not enough decisive measures in our state to change this situation. Convicts who have served their sentences in places of deprivation of liberty to this day are perceived by society as refuseniks. This is manifested not only in the difficulties of finding an official job, creating a family, housing, but also in the general negative attitude towards such people both from government officials and from ordinary citizens. These problems are especially acute for society and liberated people during the next protracted economic crisis. The use of probation allows for a flexible criminal policy of the state in relation to crimes of various encumbrances and in relation to offenders of different categories, therefore, when establishing measures to implement the principles of individualization of social justice and the appointment and execution of punishments, it allows taking into account the characteristics of the criminal's personality when determining penalties. Clarifies the procedure for providing social and legal assistance to the convicted person, the implementation and termination of probation control in relation to him. The convicted person is also explained the procedure for performing the duties assigned by the court and the procedure for bringing to responsibility for the performance or non-performance of forced labor and violation of the conditions and procedure for probation control.
