Abstract

The article discusses the concept of legal culture and the main directions of increasing the level of legal culture of citizens. Legal culture is the ability of a person to understand the essence of the law, direct his actions in accordance with the norms of law, and respect the rights of others. The types of legal culture are described using specific examples. The authors focus on legal education and education in improving legal culture. Legal education is the formation of legal awareness and observance of the law among citizens. Legal education sets itself a noble task - to shape the personality of the child and instill in him a high ideological and social attitude towards property. The country has always attached great importance to the legal education of young people. Because today one of the most pressing problems is the low level of legal literacy of citizens, legal nihilism, juvenile delinquency, which requires a systematic organization of the process of legal education. In the course of the study, the authors made extensive use of valuable scientific works of Kazakhstani and foreign scientists in this area.
