An international agreement is the main source of international law. It has various names, such as convention, declaration, treaty, pact, agreement, letter of agreement, statute and others. International treaties can be either unilateral or multilateral.
The consent of a State to be bound by an international treaty is expressed by its signature, ratification, acceptance, approval, accession to it or in any other way agreed upon by the parties. Termination and suspension of an international treaty is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the treaty itself as well as the norms of international law.
As an active subject of international relations, the Republic of Kazakhstan annually signs, approves, joins, accepts, and ratifies dozens of various international treaties.
International treaties that comply with the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the current regulatory legal acts are an integral part of the current law of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The huge role of international treaties is to ensure the protection of the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of citizens. If necessary, the courts are obliged to be guided by the norms of an international treaty ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan within the jurisdiction of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Therefore, when applying an international treaty, an authentic text of an international treaty plays an important role.
According to the 1969 Vienna Convention on the Law of International Treaties, to which the Republic of Kazakhstan acceded by the resolution of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 31, 1993, one of the main stages of concluding international treaties is to establish the authenticity of the international treaty's text.
Article examines the convention text on the authenticity of the Russian language to the text in the Kazakh language. The main attention is focused on identification of lexical and spelling mistakes made when translating into Kazakh language.
