THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NORMS OF THE INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION ON COMBATING CORRUPTION IN THE CRIMINAL LEGISLATION OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN

Abstract

The problems of fighting corruption in our country are given serious consideration, Because corruption crimes are among the most dangerous types of criminal activity. The danger of corruption crimes is evidenced by the existence of a number of international conventions, Aimed at uniting the efforts of the international community to combat this dangerous social phenomenon.

To effectively combat corruption crimes, a set of measures is needed, Including legal ones. Among the legal measures, criminal-law measures play an important role. Our country has ratified a number of international conventions, Aimed at combating corruption. In particular, The United Nations Convention against Corruption. Most of the norms of this convention are implemented in the Criminal Code of our country. However, That since the ratification of this convention a lot of time has passed, Some of the norms of this convention have not yet been implemented.

There are proposals to improve the rules of the Criminal Code. In particular, Proposes a new definition of the concept of an official, In the disposition of Article 366 of the Criminal Code it is proposed to expand the list of subjects of bribery, Including the benefits of non-property. This will allow fuller conduct of the criminal-legal struggle against bribery.

The article analyzes the implementation of the norms of international conventions in the Criminal Code of our country. There are concrete proposals on the implementation of the norms of the international convention on combating corruption in the Criminal Code of our country.
